Urgent action in Salford

Salford City Council have recently set up a Cabinet Commission on the ‘Provision of Services to Children and Young People with Hearing Impairment’. Read on to see how you can be a part of it.

What is happening?

As a direct result from the 5,000 strong petition and media interest, the Council set up a Cabinet Commission on the ‘Provision of Services to Children and Young People with Hearing Impairment’. This will look at the support deaf children receive and the impact of any future changes on the service. The Commission will meet every 5 weeks.

The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) and Salford Deaf Children’s Society are part of a stakeholder group supporting the Commission. The Commission will submit an interim report in June 2012, a full report is expected in September 2012.

Please download the document below to find out what the Cabinet Commission is looking at.
