Take Action in Warwickshire

Warwickshire council have confirmed that they have cut the help deaf children receive. We need your help to change this.

In Warwickshire, if a deaf child doesn’t have a statement, the school now must ‘buy back’ the vital help that their deaf pupils need. NDCS thinks this is too risky – will schools know what help to buy back? Will they have enough money?  Schools have not been given extra funding to make the new system work.

The council have also changed the way deaf children with additional needs, who go to special schools for disabled children, are supported.

Please join our campaign to make sure deaf children in Warwickshire get the help they need. There's lots of simple things you can do to get involved.
