Deaf Awareness
Raising deaf awareness underpins all of our campaigns. We continue to work hard to raise deaf awareness among key professionals in Wales. In 2010 we launched a special poster campaign. Deaf children and young people across the country helped us to create our Get Deaf Aware! poster, which was sent to every school in Wales.
Election 2011
In the run up to the Welsh Government election in May 2011, NDCS Cymru ran an election pledge campaign. With your help, we ensured that 55 of the 60 newly elected Assembly members made a commitment to take action for deaf children and young people.
If I Could Change One Thing...
In Spring 2009, we asked deaf children and young people across Wales to tell us about the one thing they would like to change for deaf people. We took these ideas to the Welsh Government, and continue to use them to inform our policy and campaigns work in Wales.
