How to complain about subtitles

Many parents have told us of their frustration in finding that a TV programme does not have subtitles or where the subtitles are of poor quality. NDCS is campaigning to improve the quantity and quality of subtitles on TV. We encourage our members to get involved too, by complaining directly to the broadcasters.

If you have problems with any programmes, it can help to be as specific as possible. So, make a note of:

  • what channel the programme was on
  • What time the programme was on
  • the name of the programme
  • the nature of the problem (with specific examples, if possible).

Let us know how you get on at: campaigns@ndcs.org.uk
