Scottish Government wants your views on the new Code of Practice
Following the successful passage of the Additional Support for Learning 2009 Amendment Bill in June, the Scottish Government is now consulting on the revised Code of Practice - and they want to hear from you!
Whether you are a professional working with deaf children in the education, health, or social care sectors; a parent of a deaf child; or a young deaf person yourself, you are bound to have a view on the scope and content of the guidance issued by the Scottish Government on the ASL Act - now is your chance to influence this.
Please take a look at the Scottish Government consultation papers and consider making a submission.
NDCS Scotland will be making a submission to this consultation on your behalf, and any of your views or examples of good practice would be gratefully received.
The deadline for submissions is the 8th January 2009, and the NDCS Scotland response will be published online shortly after this date.
