The National Deaf Children’s Society is the leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people.
Professional Training and Consultancy at the National Deaf Children's Society provides training, conferences and consultancy services to professionals who support deaf children and young people. We are at an exciting stage of our development with ambitious plans to grow our services, income and reach over the next five years. We are looking for an energetic, creative individual to be responsible for our business development plans. You will be keen to make your mark by helping us understand the market for our services, plan our communications and grow our business and income.
Reporting to the Head of Professional Training and Consultancy, you will be responsible for understanding the sensory impairment training sector as well as the professional development needs of our target audiences in the education, health, social care and childcare sectors. You will work with our Training, Events, Communications and Digital teams on market analysis and promotions. You will support us to raise our profile at external events and in social and digital marketing campaigns.
Highly motivated and with great organisational skills, you will be excited by the responsibility of shaping our internal and external communications – and of working with passionate colleagues to grow our impact and make a real difference to the support professionals give to deaf children and young people. You will need excellent English literacy and communication skills as well as the ability to support financial monitoring and to spot opportunities to improve our cost-effectiveness.
