TOPIC: Hearing aids for babies

Does anyone else have difficult getting the hearing aids to sit properly on a newborn? We found that the sellotape really didn't work and have tried to stick them behind headbands but this hasn't worked too well because she's always thrashing around.

Does anyone re-angle the hearing aids? I find that they when they arrive in the post they don't seem to be angled in such a way that is conducive to tucking behind her ear.

Any suggestions?

Hiya! Try Hearingaidheadbands.co.uk or search 'Hearing aid headbands' on Facebook and Instagram. They're custom made to measure headbands with pockets which hold the hearing aid in the correct place, little ribbons to stop little hands pulling them out, and because of the design, it doesn't matter if they don't sit direct behind the ear! Have a look and see what you think, we used them until our son turned around 8 months, then we found his ears were big enough to hold them properly. :)
