The Big Story Challenge

Check out the winning stories from our Big Story Challenge, in association with ITV Signed Stories!

The winners were chosen by our brilliant judges: ITV’s Danny Murphy, The Quest for the Cockle Implant’s author Maya Wasserman and illustrator Lucy Rogers, and author Sarah Driver.

The Ginger Ninja by Oliver Pack

8 to 11 age-group winner: Oliver Pack

Oliver's story is called 'Ginger Ninja'.

Our judges said: This is a really memorable story, which is funny, adventurous and entertaining. We think it would interest young people of all ages.

An Aid of a Difference by Freya Essex

12 to 14 age-group winner: Freya Essex

Freya's story is called 'An Aid of a Difference'.

Our judges said: This is a sweet and well-written story. The author added lots of interesting details, and the illustrations really bring it to life.

Wings of Sound by Irim Jameel

15 to 18 age-group winner: Irim Jameel

Irim's story is called 'Wings of Sound'.

Our judges said: Lots of deaf children and young people will relate to this well-written story. We especially liked the clever names chosen for the fairies!
