Positive Families, Stronger Communities project
Positive Families, Stronger Communities is an exciting new three-year project to support Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) families with a deaf child in London, East Midlands and North West England.
It aims to improve outcomes for BME children and young people by supporting their families through a number of activities, including:
- Running Parenting a Deaf Child courses
- Offering Family Sign Language classes

- Organising coffee mornings, information and youth events
- Recruiting volunteers from within the communities to support families
The project is funded by The National Lottery through Big Lottery Fund and will carry on until August 2014.
