Exciting new resources
Calling all grandparents, fathers and siblings!
As part of the All Together project, we've been given the exciting opportunity to produce new resources for families.
We're inviting grandparents, fathers and siblings of deaf children living in England to get involved and have their stories and experiences included in these new resources. We'll be producing five booklets and one DVD.
Grandparents
We're looking for grandparents to share with us their experiences of having a deaf grandchild.
This
could be a poem or short story you've written about your experiences.
It might be some useful tips you would like to share with other
grandparents.
This booklet wll be written by grandparents for
grandparents.
Fathers
We are looking for fathers to share with us their experiences of having a deaf child.
This
could be a poem or short story you've written about your experiences.
It might be some useful tips you would like to share with other fathers
and their families.
This booklet will be written by fathers for
fathers.
Siblings
We would like siblings aged six years old and above to get involved in creating our new sibling booklets.
We will be producing three booklets which we have outlined below. The age groups are six to nine years old, 10 to 14 years old and 15-plus years old
Six to nine years old
Share with us why its
great having a deaf brother/sister. We want to make a booklet made
of your handprints and your stories, poems and pictures. Send in
your handprint (you can do this by using paint but check with an adult
first) and on a separate piece of paper your poem or story or happy
thought on why it's great having a deaf brother/sister.
10 to 14 years old
Share with us your experiences of having a deaf brother/sister. Send us poems, stories or drawings.
15-plus years old
We are inviting siblings 15 years old and older to have their say on
having a deaf brother or sister by answering a few quick questions (see below). Once you've done that, please send them in to
us. We'll try to include all responses in the booklet.
