All Together project

NDCS has been successfully awarded funding from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Grant Programme to set up an exciting and innovative two year project called All Together.

The project will develop our work with families, grandfathers and siblings of deaf children in England.

How will the project work?

The project will begin with consultations with grandfathers and siblings to identify their unique information and support needs. The findings will build on our previous, government-funded work with fathers of deaf children, and will be published on this webpage later this year.

As well as this, three brand new information booklets and an accompanying DVD/CD-Rom will be developed as part of the project. They will be written and presented by fathers, grandfathers and siblings themselves in order to pass on support and encouragement to other families of deaf children.

The project will also support the production of an online toolkit for NDCS local groups and other community organisations to help them develop community based support for fathers, grandfathers and siblings in their areas.
