Would you like to meet a deaf role model?

Families with young deaf children benefit greatly from meeting deaf and hard of hearing adults. This project will be a valuable part of the work that the NDCS carries out with families on a day-to-day basis.

Role models will also be available to visit local groups, NDCS family weekends, schools, colleges and youth clubs to talk about their experiences.

How will the project work?

Families and professionals will have the opportunity to choose to meet up to three different role models.

Once families and professionals register their interest in the project with the NDCS Deaf Role Model team they will be able to choose up to three visits with either the same or different role models by looking through the deaf role models profiles. The NDCS will then put you in touch with the role models of your choice.
