Big Plans
We're delighted to launch our Big Plans for deaf children and young people.
The information below is also available as a BSL video clip.
If you'd like updates on our Big Plans - just register a few details and we'll be in touch!
The consultation
We want to tell you about our work for deaf children and young people, and how we plan to work with you over the next few years.
Some of you may remember NDCS’s Change Your World consultation last year, where we asked deaf children and young people, as well as their parents and the professionals working to support them, what they wanted from NDCS. We published the results of the consultation earlier this year, so now we’re ready to start looking to the future.
What’s next?
So what about the future: what work are we going to do with young deaf people in the next three years?
We’ll be building a website just for children and young deaf people. We’re working with some of you to design this new website - we’ll have more news soon.
We’re also going to be doing the following this year:
- Participation - keeping in touch with you, involving you and learning from to you.
- Training and development - helping you to become leaders and working with us as volunteers.
- More events - fun events where you’ll meet other deaf people your age.
- Helping other organisations become more deaf-friendly - such as our Me2 campaign and our Deaf Friendly Football project.
Our Big Plans
We’ve produced five different versions of our Big Plans - see below for the one that’s most appropriate for you.
