Deaf Friendly Pledge for youth organisations

We are currently writing a deaf friendly pledge which we will be inviting mainstream youth organisations to sign up to. It's about making a commitment to make simple steps to ensure your organisation is deaf friendly.

The pledge will include a range of commitments that the organisation will need to meet to show that it is inclusive towards deaf children and young deaf people. Once the organisation has met the commitments of the pledge, it will be awarded with Deaf Friendly status!

As we want the pledge to cover as many different types of youth organisation as possible we are working with a number of organisations to seek their backing. If you work for a national youth organisation who would like to support this project please contact us via the me2@ndcs.org.uk email.
