Handy tips and information for youth organisations
Deafness makes it harder for young deaf people to communicate, which can be very isolating.
As a result, many young deaf people find it difficult to participate in out of school activities simply because not enough is being done to facilitate good communication or there is a lack of basic awareness of the equipment or adaptations that deaf children and young deaf people use.
We want to provide youth organisations with the resources and confidence to work effectively with young deaf people, to make them genuinely inclusive and accessible.
