October - Word of Mouth

This month we are celebrating storytelling and live literature. This could involve reading out loud or signing a story to yourself, someone else, or a whole group of people!

The National Year of Reading are holding a competition to find the most enthusiastic amateur story teller. You can find out more about the competition here.

The Booktrust website has some great ideas for things you can do at school. You could have a poet or a story teller visit to entertain you all! You could even hold your own live poetry event or story telling session at school yourself!
