Swindon and North Wiltshire Deaf Children's Society
Are you the parent or carer of a deaf child? Do you live in or around Swindon and North Wiltshire?
About our group
We're a small group covering Swindon and North Wiltshire.
Our group was established by parents who had children with a hearing impairment over 20 years ago. It is still run by volunteer parents today.
Membership is free.
Aims and activities
Our key objective is to further, in every way allowed by law, the education and relief of deaf children without regard to race, religion, creed, disability, sex or family circumstances.
We organise fun events, provide a great network of families, hold fund raisers and offer support to deaf and hearing impaired children and their families in the Swindon & North Wiltshire area.
We hold regular group meetings(please check with secretary for dates, times and venue).
We fundraise and rely on donations to help fund the many activities we organise, such as trips to the theatre, theme parks, go-karting and more.
We're a friendly, lively and approachable group who welcome any feedback help and advice. We have strong contacts with the local teachers of the deaf, who are instrumental in introducing us to new families.
Our membership is free. All we ask is that you try to attend some meetings and support us in any way that you can.
You can also contact us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or find us on facebook and join our group https://www.facebook.com/groups/swindonandnorthwiltsDCS/
We always welcome new members!
