Consultation results
Our remit with this consultation was to consult with young deaf people in Scottish secondary schools, in years S1 – S5. The main focus of the research was to determine how much access young deaf people have to local extra-curricular and leisure activities.
The three main points of our questioning were:
- What activities do young people like taking part in, and currently take part in?
- What are the barriers for young deaf people trying to access extra curricular and leisure activities in their area?
- What could be done in the future to make activities more accessible to young deaf people, and make them something they want to take part in?
