National Deaf Children's Society Chief Executive Susan Daniels comments on the RNID's new identity.
Susan Daniels, Chief Executive of the National Deaf Children’s Society said:
“With today’s launch of Action on Hearing Loss, we welcome the opportunity to raise awareness of deafness and reduce the stigma of it among a wider audience.
Our mission, as the leading charity for deaf children, is to remove the barriers to the achievement of deaf children. We work to ensure deaf children get the right start in life and support them until they reach independence, after which they are supported by Action on Hearing Loss.
Our new Strategic Plan sets out our plans to ensure deaf children and young people get the support they need to achieve, have positive self-esteem and can make choices and influence decisions that affect their lives.
We look forward to continuing to work with Action on Hearing Loss and our other stakeholders to ensure a brighter future for deaf children and young people.”
