Deaf Awareness Week 2017
Cook up some cash for us
Mark Deaf Awareness Week by joining our Big Cake Bake to raise money and awareness to help deaf children.
You can hold a bake sale in your home or workplace, a church hall or community centre, or the function room of a local pub. It doesn’t matter how small or large your event, every donation helps us provide a lifeline to deaf children, young people and their families.
Browse our recipes page to find some sensational celebrity recipes, including wonderful white chocolate blondies from Gordon Ramsey, a luscious lemon cake from Joanna Lumley or the Hairy Bikers’ heavenly tropical concoction.
All of the sweet treats are easy to make and can be sold at Big Cake Bake fundraising events in Deaf Awareness Week and throughout the summer. Find out everything you need to know about organising your own Big Cake Bake.More information
Share an awesome story
The story of Daisy and Ted’s Awesome Adventures is a great way you can help young children understand how to make friends with deaf children and include them in their play.
Get your copy of this unique children’s book for just £6.99 and read it aloud to little ones who come to your Big Cake Bake? Or you could buy a copy to donate to your child’s school or library and suggest they read it during Deaf Awareness Week.
