How to leave a gift in your Will

If you make the generous decision to support NDCS with a gift in your Will you need to take a few simple steps to ensure that the gift can eventually be received.

First of all speak to a qualified solicitor; if you are writing your Will for the first time then you will need to make your solicitor aware of your plan to leave NDCS a gift.

We can provide your solicitor with some Gifts in Wills Suggested wording[pdf] for leaving NDCS a gift in your will which is available to download.

If you already have a will drawn up then the process of amending it to include a gift to the NDCS is a straightforward one, you just need to make a simple addition or amendment to the document.

To do this you just need to provide your solicitor with a completed Codicil Form [pdf] which is also available to download.

Finally, if you would like to let us know that you have chosen to leave us a gift in your Will we would love to hear from you.

Our Confidential Pledge 2015 [pdf] allows you to share with us the details of your gift, alternatively you can contact the gifts in Will team directly. Email giftsinwills@ndcs.org.uk or call 0207 014 1102.

At NDCS we appreciate that leaving a gift in your Will is a personal decision and we promise to respect your privacy and your choices. So if you would like to leave a gift but would rather not hear from us, then you just have to let us know.
