NDCS volunteer opportunities take place all over the United Kingdom. We have opportunities for volunteers on events in a number of UK locations and in our offices in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast.
What could you do as an NDCS volunteer
There are many ways to support NDCS through volunteering, You could be ensuring a group of deaf young people get the most from a residential event, sharing your experiences at a family weekend, visiting a parent in your local community or even joining us in one of our offices to help NDCS achieve our strategy.

BME Volunteer Network, London
NDCS has a team of volunteers in London who can support families from a BME background.

NDCS has a team of volunteers who can support families from a BME background. These volunteers speak a variety of community languages and are from various ethnic minority backgrounds.

The NDCS Technology Test Drive Service gives deaf children and young people the opportunity to try out equipment in their own home or at school.

Family Support Network Scotland
In Scotland we have a network of volunteers called the BME Family Support Volunteers. These volunteers are all parents of deaf children and have been trained by NDCS.

Local groups
Local groups are voluntarily run by parents and carers of deaf children, working together with local health and education professionals.

Youth Support Volunteers
We run one day, weekend and week-long events for deaf children and young people all over the UK. These include various sports, arts and outdoor activities. We also run family events which can be one day or whole weekend events. We need volunteers to help supervise with the children and young people and make sure that they're having a good time.
