Current volunteer opportunities

There are exciting ways you can volunteer for us with deaf children, young people and their families to suit your skills and interests. Some of these opportunities are available across the UK and could be local to you.

Safeguarding Checks

The National Deaf Children's Society is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Vetting and barring checks relevant for each role will be carried out before volunteers attend our events.

For regulated volunteer roles these checks include: a self-disclosure statement, two references, a background check and an Enhanced DBS/PVG or A-NI Disclosure check.
