Our face-to-face workshops for swimming teachers and coaches, 'Making Swimming Deaf-Friendly' and 'British Sign Language for Swimming' support teachers and coaches to develop confidence communicating with deaf children and young people and adapt their activities to make them more inclusive.
We have teamed up with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) to create the Deaf-Friendly Swimming i-Learn course to help coaches become more deaf aware. This accredited course is easy to complete and free of charge.
In partnership with Local Authorities, Sports Development and Leisure Trusts we are offering Deaf-Friendly Swimming Lessons across the country.
If we do not have a partnership near you at the moment we hope to soon!
NDCS is funding deaf young people to become swimming teachers. Are you interested in becoming a swimming teacher? Could you inspire deaf children in swimming?
