On yer bike!

Darren was one of our superstar fundraisers of 2017. He took part in the Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100 for us after we supported his family when one-year-old son Rudi was born severely deaf due to auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD).

Darren said: "The ride was a fantastic experience! The hardest part was the last 20 miles, but being cheered on by the National Deaf Children's Society and my family at the 90 mile mark gave me an extra boost for the home stretch. Rudi was on top form and from what I heard was the head cheerleader. The generosity of friends and family who sponsored me really kept me going. My family had a great day watching the ride; they really felt welcomed by the National Deaf Children's Society family."

Thanks for the hard work Darren – we loved having you on #TeamNDCS! We are now planning the next ride (29 July 2018) so, if you want to join the team and get on your bike for deaf children, let us know!
