Ear Foundation Chairman steps down at AGM
At the Annual General Meeting of The Ear Foundation, Richard Pannell (Chairman) stood down after seven years as a Trustee.
“It is difficult to imagine being involved in a more vibrant organisation,” Pannell commented, “a state engendered solely by the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff to whom I offer my grateful thanks”.
His successor as Chairman is John M Atkins. Atkins is an independent education consultant with experience of both the governance and funding of Special Educational Needs as well as advising clients in further and higher education institutions.
Atkins' profoundly deaf 14-year-old son, Philip, received a cochlear implant at 21 months old.
