Supporting deaf children in early years settings

Our one-day workshop will help you to fully include deaf children in the life of your nursery or home setting. You’ll learn about changes you can make to your setting or your practice that will benefit all children. Cost: £95

Supporting deaf students in further education: a training day for Teachers of the Deaf

Our one-day interactive workshop will help you ensure that deaf young people are given the best possible support in post-16 settings, including further education colleges, apprenticeships and employment. Cost: £95

Effective Education, Health, Care plans

Our one-day workshop is aimed at anyone involved in contributing to an EHC needs assessment or plan. Our training will help you make sure that EHC plans effectively identify and meet their special educational needs

Assessing the educational progress of deaf children and young people

Whether you are working with deaf children from early years or the end of key stage 4, this workshop will make you aware of the range of assessments that can be used to effectively monitor the progress of deaf children and young people. Cost: £95

This one-day workshop will help you understand the legal requirements to support deaf children, particularly those who do not have an Education, Health and Care plan. You’ll learn how to improve your professional practice and how the ‘assess, plan, do, review’ cycle can be applied to deaf children

Supporting the language and communication of deaf children with English as an Additional Language

Deaf children who are new to the UK and do not speak English as their first language are likely to face more challenges than hearing children who are EAL learners. This course helps you to understand and address those challenges. Cost: £95
