Moving on

This course is designed to equip young deaf people with the skills and knowledge to make choices about their future education and employment and to enable them to live independent lives. It has been written for young people in years 10 and 11 and has been designed to be flexible and user friendly to ensure appropriate and timely delivery.

The content for Moving On has been developed through consultations with education staff and agencies that support young people once they have left full time statutory education. It has been piloted across the country and the feedback we received has been used to further develop the content.

Although schools and colleges may cover many aspects of this course in different curriculum areas and through the input of the Connexions service, it was considered useful to have all the elements together in one package.

All the files you will need for this course are below. You can choose to download all the files for the complete course, or you can just download individual modules. All modules have a unit summary sheet for the students' folders. Some units have resources that you can use whilst working through the module, and some modules have assessments for the students.
