Birmingham City Deaf Youth Football

NDCS and Birmingham City FC are working together to create an exciting new opportunity for deaf children to play football.

Birmingham deaf football festival

On Saturday 7 June our first Midlands based football festival took place at Wast Hills, Birmingham City's Training Ground.

35 children took part in a day of footbal coaching and mini-games organised by the Birmingham City Football in the Community coaches.

The lovely weather allowed us to stay outdoors all day and the children and young people enjoyed themselves - many looked worn out by the end - always a good sign!

Thanks to the coaches for organising the activities and games and thanks to our volunteers for all their hard work looking after the children and communicating on behalf of the coaches.

Birmingham coaching sessions

Following the success of the football festival, we have now set up regular coaching sessions to take place at Wast Hills on Saturday afternoons.

We'll be re-starting the coaching sessions after a summer break. If you would like more details regarding this, please contact the NDCS Football Development Officer by email at football@ndcs.org.uk.
