Over the next three years, NDCS will be organising Deaf Friendly FC Football Festivals across England. Watch this space for details of a festival near you!

We've also developed an online database of deaf friendly clubs so you can find a club that will meet your needs in your area.

In addition, we'll also hold a yearly Deaf Youth Football Tournament for deaf teams from across the country.

Are you 16-years-old plus? Are you a wannabe Jose Mourinho? We will be offering budding deaf coaches the opportunity to become qualified FA coaches and help coach their local Deaf Friendly FC team.

Sign the Deaf Friendly FC Pledge
Clubs ranging from your local FA Charter Standard club to Championship and Premiership clubs are invited to undertake deaf awareness training specific to football and sign the Deaf Friendly FC Pledge to show they are actively committed to including deaf footballers and coaches within their club. All clubs will be listed in a database on our site and will be able to use our Deaf Friendly FC resource packs.

Hubs
Each year, we'll be working in four areas to set up brand new deaf youth football clubs in partnership with professional football clubs and deaf football clubs. In our first year, we worked with Norwich City, Arsenal, Leeds United and Manchester United and in our second, we're working with Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, Sunderland and Birmingham City. If you would like your club to be involved in this exciting opportunity, please get in touch.

Throughout the project, we will be working closely with England Deaf Football and deaf football clubs from across the country to set up opportunities for deaf children and young deaf people.

We will be helping deaf footballers who are interested in coaching deaf children towards FA Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications and supplying equipment, funding and support to set up these sessions.

Volunteers

Foul! (credit: NDCS)

We are looking to recruit volunteers to help out with all aspects of the nation’s great game and to match them with Deaf Friendly FCs across the country.

If you are interested in coaching or helping out with communication at football sessions please contact us. Who knows, you could volunteer at Carrow Road, the Emirates or even Wembley!

This is a great opportunity for all football mad children, parents, potential coaches and volunteers to get involved in an exciting new project that will really make a difference for all young deaf footballers.
