What is the Deaf Friendly Football project?
IN 2006 NDCS was awarded over £250,000 by the Football Foundation, Phonak UK Ltd and Sportsmatch to set up the Deaf Friendly Football Club Project.
The project is designed to give all deaf children the chance to play football in a safe, supportive and fun environment, either in mainstream football clubs or deaf football clubs.
Over the next three years we will be working at all levels of the games, with professional clubs, deaf football clubs and even your local charter standard football club that runs on a Sunday, so there are lots of ways to get involved! Whether you are a young deaf person, parent, coach, budding coach, volunteer, player or official read on to see how you can get involved.
