About the event
Do you have a deaf child between the ages of 0 and 2 years?
Have they been diagnosed as deaf in the last 12-18 months?
This is an opportunity for families who have not attended a National Deaf Children’s event before to spend an informative few days with other families exploring the early stages of their deaf child’s development.
Topics over the two days will include:
- Understanding your child’s developing communication
- Supporting your child’s early learning
- Understanding your child’s hearing and accessing technology
During the event your children will be cared for by a mobile crèche company and will take part in a range of activities.
Although this is a non-residential event, we appreciate that some families may need to travel long distances to get to the event. Therefore if you live over an hour's drive from the venue we will be able to provide accommodation for you at a local hotel. Please make us aware if you would like to request this at the time of booking.
This is a National Deaf Children's Society event that hearing family may attend.
