Activities
The aim of our 2010 fun day programme is to bring families together. This year we will be introducing many elements where you can chat to other families and take on challenges together. As well as this we have created activities to make this event a special day for your deaf children. We want them to feel positive, try new things, be challenged, have fun, and make friends.
We have chosen venues that already have activities for all ages, such as play areas, animal handling sessions, frizbee golf, and pig racing!
NDCS will be adding to these exciting activities with our own areas. We will hold a family picnic where you can chat to other families, and a family mini-olympics. Children can take part in sports challenges such as football. At many of the events we have a fantastic grafitti artist where young people can get creative in our urban art workshops. At some we will bring in laser quest and climbing walls, and at all there will be family arts and crafts sessions, and facepainting.
There really will be something for everyone at our fun days!
Information stands and discussions
We will be inviting exhibitors to set up information stands on childhood deafness, and local NDCS staff will be available throughout the day to chat to families and answer any questions you may have.
Take a walk on the wild side

This year, at a few of the events, we are introducing a sponsored walk to the events where you can raise funds for NDCS or your local group. Read more >
