Charity wishes Tasha Ghouri good luck on Strictly Come Dancing

Published Date: 07 Aug 2024

On hearing the announcement that Tasha Ghouri would be a contestant on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, Susan Daniels OBE, Chief Executive of the National Deaf Children’s Society, said:

“We were delighted to find out that Tasha Ghouri is to appear on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. It’s vital for deaf children and young people to see positive deaf role models, and we’re sure that Tasha will be a wonderful ambassador for the deaf community on one of TV’s most popular shows.

“We’re confident that she’ll perform fantastically, just like Jodie Ounsley did on Gladiators, Tasha Stones did on Great British Bake Off and of course Rose Ayling-Ellis, who stormed to the Strictly Glitterball Trophy in 2021.”
