National Deaf Children's Society delights in Rose Ayling-Ellis's MBE

Published Date: 14 Jun 2024

Susan Daniels OBE, Chief Executive of the National Deaf Children’s Society, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted that Rose has been given an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list. Her tireless campaigning to highlight British Sign Language and the rights of the deaf community has been hugely influential and done wonders for deaf awareness.

“Not only that, but Rose’s appearance on Strictly Come Dancing was incredibly inspiring for deaf children and young people everywhere, who need to see more deaf role models like her on TV. We think Rose is a thoroughly worthy recipient of this honour.”
