Kate Binns

Kate lives in south London and has three children. She has one son with bilateral mild to moderate hearing loss who wears hearing aids. Her youngest son has an Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct in one ear and a profound hearing loss in the other. He wears one hearing aid. She also has a niece with mild to moderate hearing loss as a result of craniosynostosis who wears hearing aids.

Kate has 17 years’ experience in the public sector working on international development. She is currently a senior climate change adviser at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. Kate has represented the UK on the boards of multilateral institutions and has experience in developing strategy and policy.
