Our Partners

The National Deaf Children's Society work with a range of partners from many different sectors. Our partners have agreed to work towards or have achieved our deaf friendly standard and are creating equal opportunities for deaf young people in the UK.

British Red Cross Society

We have partnered with British Red Cross Society to deliver digital Careers Taster events for deaf young people aged 15-18 years. There are opportunities to learn new skills, boost CV and confidence, and get to know more about how charities work. As part of this partnership we are providing training to British Red Cross Society to become more deaf inclusive.

EnV Coventry

We have formed a partnership with EnV Coventry to create accessible volunteer opportunities for deaf young people within Coventry, to be involved as City Hosts for Coventry City of Culture, Coventry Youth Ambassadors for 16 to 18 year olds and within Coventry Ambassadors for 18 .

GamCare

We have formed a partnership with GamCare to enable them to provide accessible and inclusive information and support with gambling related issues for deaf young people. GamCare and YGAM (The Young Gamblers Education Trust) are working together to deliver programme of education, training and support for young people across the UK.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

We have formed a partnership with the Voluntary Services Team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to create accessible and inclusive volunteering opportunities for deaf young people. The Voluntary Services Team support people to volunteer across the different hospitals in the Trust to improve patient experience.

MAMA Youth Project

We have formed a partnership with MAMA Youth Project to create accessible and inclusive volunteering opportunities for deaf young people. MAMA Youth Project recruits, trains and nurtures young people between 18-25 years of age from under-represented groups or with limited educational or employment opportunities in the TV and media industry.

As part of the partnership, we have provided relevant training and information sessions for MAMA Youth Project staff, to ensure staff engaging with deaf young people have a good understanding of deaf awareness and how to create an environment that is inclusive and accessible. This will empower MAMA Youth Project to provide deaf friendly and accessible training courses, and share opportunities for young people.

Qube Learning

We have formed a partnership with Qube Learning to create accessible and inclusive opportunities for deaf young people, through apprenticeships and traineeships across England to support the National Deaf Children’s Society’s Deaf Works Everywhere Campaign.

Patient Services at University Hospitals Plymouth

We have formed a partnership with the Patient Services at University Hospitals Plymouth to create accessible and inclusive volunteering opportunities for deaf young people.
