Alan's triple challenge

Published Date: 04 Mar 2021

Alan Murray took on a truly daunting fundraising running challenge – a 10K run, half-marathon and full marathon in one weekend – raising an amazing £515!

Alan was inspired to take on the challenge because his daughters Violet, 1, Fearne, 4, and Lily, 13 were born deaf. The family has received ongoing support from the National Deaf Children’s Society.

Alan is no stranger to raising funds for the National Deaf Children’s Society, having taken part in the Great North Run for the charity last September.

Alan said: “There were tired times, but I'd do it all again tomorrow. It’s really not about me, it’s about – my three little fighters Lily, Fearne and Violet, and of course not forgetting my wife Nicki and son Elliot. They are the real heroes and make me so proud.”
