It's election time!

A general election has been called. Let's make it about deaf children.

Party manifestos

Make sure you check out the manifestos of each party to see if they mention issues that matter to you and your family.

Local hustings

Keep an eye out in the local paper for any hustings events where you can ask candidates about their plans for deaf children.

Handy hint if you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland: Remember that education, health and social care are devolved issues. However, MPs are involved in making decisions around other key areas that affect deaf children and young people such as disability benefits and Access to Work. They can also help to raise issues locally if you are experiencing problems.

Rules for organisations

If you represent one of our local charity groups you need to be aware of the Charity Commission guidelines on campaigning during election periods. If you have any questions you can contact us on 020 7014 1179 or
