New Year, Fresh Start

Photo: Get going in 2021!

We’re here to help you shake off those 2020 blues, and get 2021 off to a great start!

Whether your New Year’s resolution is to be more active, tick something off your bucket list or learn a new skill, you can make 2021 a positive year for deaf children.

Get started by taking a look at our range of brilliant events:

Why do deaf children need my support?

This crisis has turned everyone’s lives upside down. But deaf children are facing challenges that most people won’t have thought of, like:

  • How to communicate with someone who’s wearing a face mask – when you need to lip-read to understand, even if you use sign language.

  • How to cope when you need to catch up at school, because online lessons weren’t accessible during lockdown.

  • The heartache of having reduced hearing while you wait much longer to get your hearing aids fixed, and miss out on friendships and fun.

Deaf children are being forgotten at a time when they need support the most, and the impact on their futures could be catastrophic. We need your help today so we can stride into a positive new year for deaf children.

How do I sign up?

  1. Register for the event of your choice.

  2. Plan your challenge and set up your fundraising page.

  3. Take on your challenge and make 2021 your best year yet!

Sign up to one of our events and you’ll receive a free fundraising pack, full of tools to help you get started. You’ll also get clap bangers so your friends and family can cheer you on at whatever you’re doing!

Let's do this! Take the first step and choose your event...
