Volunteer opportunities

Here are the volunteer roles we are recruiting for at the moment. Some of these opportunities are available across the UK and some may be local to you. Please check back often as this page is updated regularly.

Support our Fundraising team

Apply to be an office supporter if you:

  • Are 18 years old or over and able to use the phone
  • Have an interest in fundraising and basic computer skills
  • Live within commuting distance of our London office
  • Are available to volunteer at least two days a week during office hours (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm)

Support deaf children and young people on activity holidays

Apply to be a group supporter if you:

  • Are deaf and 18 years old or over
  • Enjoy supervising children and getting involved with activities
  • Are happy to stay overnight at our events across the UK

Apply to be a communicator if you:

  • Are hearing and have BSL level 3 or above (or equivalent)
  • Are willing to provide communication support (BSL / English) for children, young people, volunteers and staff
  • Enjoy supervising children and getting involved with activities
  • Are happy to stay overnight at our events across the UK

Share your experiences of deafness on our family events

Apply to be a family member volunteer if you:

  • Are a relative or carer of a deaf child (eg parent or grandparent)
  • Are willing to share your experiences at our family events
  • Are available to volunteer on Saturdays or Sundays

Apply to be a deaf presenter if you:

  • Are a deaf adult who experienced deafness during your childhood
  • Are willing to share your experiences at our family events
  • Are available to volunteer on Saturdays or Sundays
