Family members lead discussions with families at our events to:

  • help parents and carers develop their understanding and skills to support a deaf child
  • encourage parents to ask questions and share their personal experience of having a deaf child in the family
  • support communication with other parents and carers who have similar experiences.

You can be a Family Member Presenter if you are:

  • have a deaf child in your family
  • willing to speak to families of deaf children and young people about your personal experiences of having a deaf child in your family
