The Buzz

Photo: Hey check out the Buzz for some information for you

Are you aged 12-18 years? If yes- great! The Buzz website is for you.

The Buzz is the only website for deaf children and young people.

It's an opportunity for you to get the information and support you need. Read inspiring stories from other deaf young people, ask questions and get involved.

With the right support you can do anything! So, what are you waiting for? Click the link below!

Here's how you can get involved:

Help and Support

Looking for advice on where you can meet other deaf young people? Or advice around school or college?

Our helpline is here for you! They can offer all sorts of advice on whatever you need to know.

Find out more here.

Technology Test Drive

Want to try out new technology like headphones or radio aids? Not sure which ones you might want to buy?

Our Technology Test Drive is here for you! There's a whole range of different devices you can borrow to see what works best for you.

Find out how you can borrow the latest tech here.

Events

Want to try something new? Make some new friends?

Our events are a great way to make new friends, learn new skills and have lots of fun!

We have loads of different events throughout the year in different parts of the UK. From adventure themed events, doing rock climbing and skiing. Or learning a new skill like dance, graffiti or circus skills! And don’t worry if you’ve never done the activities before, we’ll show you how!

Find out more here about how you can get involved in events and how you can get involved in fundraising too!

Campaigning for Change

Would you like to find out about important issues that affect you? Are you keen to share your views and influence people who make important decisions?

Join our Young Campaigners Network and help us break down barriers for deaf young people!

As a Young Campaigner, you’ll have a chance to share your opinions and take action on issues that matter to you. This could involve contacting politicians to get their support, creating blogs to raise awareness or sharing your views and experiences to influence decision makers.

You’ll also receive our Campaign Bitesize magazine, which shares information about different campaigns you can get involved in.

Watch this video blog by former Young People’s Advisory Board (YAB) member Liam, to find out what campaigning means to him, why he thinks it’s important to share your views with politicians and how you can contact your own MP.

Watch this film to find out what some of our former YAB members think the UK Government should change for deaf young people.

If you’d like to get involved, please send us an e-mail.

Have your say!

If you have something on your mind, tell us! You might want to share a brilliant idea you’ve had, or to tell us your story, or an opinion you’ve got about something that’s happening.

You can also ask our Buzz team anything – big or small – and get advice and information to help you.

To get in touch send us an e-mail- we'd love to hear your thoughts!
