Organisations who work with deaf adults
Between the ages of 16-25, you'll notice that some of the organisations and services who supported you when you were growing up will no longer work with you. That might seem scary, but there's still lots support available from organisations who work with deaf adults. Some of these organisations are listed below.
British Deaf Association (BDA)
Deaf-led charity which campaigns for the rights of deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL).
Formerly the British Tinnitus Association, Tinnitus UK is a charity which provides information and support for people living with tinnitus.
Charity which supports people who are blind and deaf.
Deaf mental health service which enables deaf people to access counselling and therapy.
Charity which supports deaf people to access services and live independently.
Service dog charity which provides assistance dogs to help deaf people live independently.
Royal Association for Deaf People (RAD)
Deaf-led charity which promotes the welfare and interests of deaf people, especially deaf people who use BSL.
Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID)
Deafness charity previously called 'Action on Hearing Loss'.
Deaf health charity which partners with the NHS to provide access to healthcare information and services for deaf people.
