Frequently asked questions from young people

Coming to one of our events? Here’s what you need to know.

Who will be my main contact for the event?

Each event has an allocated Activity Coordinator. They will discuss all your requirements and communicate with you on a regular basis in the run-up to the event.

Who will look after me?

Our staff team are very friendly and helpful and want to make sure you have lots of fun.

They are happy to talk with you. They will always be wearing a badge and our branded T-shirt.

Where will I sleep?

Normally there will be 4–6 children and young people in each room and you will sleep in a single bed or bunk beds. Girls and boys sleep in separate rooms.

How will I get there?

Your parent/carer will normally bring you and collect you. But if this can’t happen, please talk to us to see if we can help.

If you are over 16 then you can make your own way but you will need to discuss this with your parent/carer and let us know.

Can I contact home if am worried?

Yes, but hopefully we will have answered all your questions before you arrive. If you are still worried, you can talk to the staff at the event as well. We will ask you to hand your mobile phones in for safe keeping, but there will be free time to use them.

What food will I eat?

We will ask you what food you can or can’t eat before you arrive.

Food is made by the centre you will be sleeping at. You won’t need to bring your own food.

I’ve got another question - how can I get in touch with you?

If you have any questions, email us at as [email protected],   if you’re aged under 16, please ask your parent or guardian to email.
