Parents as partners: get involved with your local deaf children’s services

Photo: Find out how to become involved at a local level

Find out how to become part of your local Children’s Hearing Services Group (CHSWG) and improve services for deaf children.

You can also find other local forums to have your say, we’ll show you how to do this and why it’s important.

What to expect

Through our Parents as Partners workshop we will show you how to get involved at a local level and make sure all deaf children are getting the support they need. We’ll be encouraging family involvement every step of the way.

As a parent or carer you will:

  • Find out more about the role of a parent representative
  • Meet other parents and share experiences
  • Understand more about the impact you can have as a parent
  • Feel more confident about the difference you can really make

You'll be equipped with skills to improve services for deaf children in your area. So if you are already involved or are interested in getting involved, sign up to this free online workshop and find out more.
