Module overview

These brand-new FREE e-learning modules will improve your deaf awareness within the context of offering careers advice. Each module contains country-specific information and identifies key considerations when providing careers advice to deaf young people so you can be confident in the advice you’re providing. This e-learning will help ensure your advice sessions are fully accessible for deaf young people. It will take about 1 hour to complete. A certificate for proof of professional development is available upon completion of the module of your choice.

By the end of the module you will be able to:

  • describe what is meant by deafness and how to ensure services are accessible to deaf young people
  • explain how to reach out to deaf young people and encourage them to access careers advice
  • identify key considerations when providing careers advice to deaf young people.
