Family Sign Language trainer programme
Are you a professional working with families of deaf children aged 0–5? Would you like to use our Family Sign Language Curriculum Toolkit to deliver sign language courses to families?
Our two-day practical workshop is for professionals who want to improve their practice in delivering sign language courses to pre-school aged deaf children. You can join the hundreds of professionals who have benefited from this programme such as BSL teachers, deaf instructors, inclusion workers, family support workers and Teachers of the Deaf.
You’ll leave the training course inspired and confident to deliver sign language courses to families you are working with. On the first day of this course you will develop and refresh your knowledge of BSL linguistics, language acquisition of BSL, storytelling skills and sign bilingualism. On the second day, you will also have the opportunity to reflect and practise delivery approaches for positive impact with your families.
