Hi

My name is Susie, I am profoundly Deaf, I work for a charity based in Liverpool called Deaf Active.

Deaf Active provides a variety of services for deaf and hearing such as a youth club, playschemes, activities like kick boxing, football, dance, BSL classes and a team who visit schools teaching sign language.

During the recent crisis we have moved our servies online, we can be found on facebook under a group called Deaf Active's Hub, an online deaf community for Deaf, HOH, coda's and hearing.

This is open to everyone off all ages, we have activities focussed towards different age groups. These groups are tots, kids, teens, adults and elders. We provide activities such as youth club, youth exchange, fitness sessions, socialisation through zoom. If you are interested in getting involved feel free to join and check out our timetable. We are based in Liverpool but we have been connecting with many deaf from around the U.K.
