Mapping Appointments missed due to Covid 19

I wondered if anyone had missed/cancelled appointments for their children with implants. Lewis has now missed two mapping  appointments. I have spoken to his rehab contact and expressed concern and he assured me that as the centre were now taking patients again I should hear soon as to when Lewis’s next appointment should be.

he has missed his 12 weeks and 6 month ones and I am concerned as to how much this impact his development. He seems to be doing really well and meeting at the milestones but it has to have an impact at some point.

has anyone else experinced this?

Hi Catherine

Thank you for starting this thread and sharing your experience. It's definitely a good sign Lewis has still been meeting his milestones and you've seen progress despite the missed appointments.

I’m sorry no one has commented yet. Your Community is very new and we’re still building up our members.

If you’re still looking for support you may want to contact our Helpline team who can provide information and advice. They can also put you in contact with our in-house audiologist if needed.

Take care
